In July 1982, Frank Jr. became a partner in the family business - learning the ins and outs of the business with plans of expansion. Sixteen years later, Frank Sr. officially retired leaving Frank Jr. to running the restaurant. Frank Sr. was seen dinning at the Baton Rouge location with various family members frequently, up until his passing in 2023.

In 2004, Frank’s Restaurant in Prairieville, LA opened its doors! Where the Baton Rouge location closes after lunch, the Prairieville location is open for dinner as well. The second location though it has the same foundational values as the original location, there are many things that really make it stand out. Major perks of this location are that there are seasonal seafood options including crawfish, crabs, + oysters, adult beverage options, nighty dinner specials, a recently remodeled patio with outdoor seating (2023), and a country shop, full of local crafts and jarred produce. They are open until 9pm, serving breakfast all day as well as offering lunch and dinner options. Most of these advancements were made possible by Frank III, who became Owner/President in May 2021.
